Apple Featuring the iOS 6 Beta for iPhone

The anticipation for the next iteration of the iPhone builds as more rumors about its specifications circulate. The next iPhone, which is as yet unnamed, is slated to be launched next fall, which is roughly the same time frame that last year’s iPhone 4S was released. For the case, Apple will use plastic or rubber material, possibly as a bezel around the front edge of the device. This will attach a new redesigned back plate made of aluminum to the glass front. In addition, this will hide a redesigned antenna system. This creates a unibody enclosure that allows the phone to be thin yet sturdy at the same time. Other changes on the new iPhone are a smaller dock connector, the movement of location of the audio jack to the bottom corner, speaker grills with a new design, and a mysterious opening, possibly a microphone, between the LED flash and the camera lens.As for the display, the new iPhone will have one that measures 3.999 diagonally. Meanwhile, the screen will have a width of 1.9632 inches and a height of 3.484 inches. Apple is adding 176 more pixels to the screen, making the resolution of the new iPhone 640 x 1136. The user interface will be adjusted to fit this screen.

Under the hood, the new iPhone has iOS 6, Darwin Kernel Version 13.0.0, and the ARM S5L8950X processor. This is expected to be a low-power dual core processor comparable to the one on the iPad 2. Its clock speed, however, is unknown. The GPU meanwhile is SGX543RC*, and will be part of the SoC as usual. The latest Gobi chips from Qualcomm, which offer low power consumption on China Mobile’s TD-LTE is also expected on the device. Apple will also increase the RAM on the device from the 512 MB found on today’s iPhone to a full gigabyte. With these, Apple is bringing a lot of changes to the iPhone. Whether or not the public likes these changes is uncertain. Nevertheless, Apple’s history shows that whatever it prepares is bound to please.
